For many companies the Year End Party is the most important internal event of the year. Starting early keeps the budget under control and leaves more choice of venues and artists.
Three months out: concept and budget
Confirm guest numbers, the budget range and the core concept. This is also the time to book the venue, as hotels and convention centres fill up in December and January.
“The best programme is one where everyone has a part to play.”
Six weeks out: programme and artists
Finalise the script, choose the MC, guest artists and in-house performances. Schedule rehearsals for the departments taking part.
Two weeks out: rehearsal and backup plans
Check technical setup, print, gifts and seating plans. Always have a backup plan for weather, power and key staff.
